What is FCA?

FCA's vision is to see the world transformed by Jesus Christ through the influence of coaches and athletes.


We accomplish the vision by engaging athletes and coaches through events, huddles, and one-on-one conversations.  We then equip them with the Word and empower them to lead other teammates or coaches to Jesus on their own school campus!

How can I join TeamFCA?

Time

  • Serve as a Character Coach for a team (team chaplain for a season - 1-2 hours per week)

  • Join the FCA Prayer Team (30 minutes per week)

  • Serve as a board member (1-2 hours per month, plus events)

  • Volunteer at an FCA event (1-6 hours depending on event)

  • Help with newsletter assembly (3-4 hours quarterly)

  • Make goody bags for coaches/teams (flexible time)

Talent

  • Write encouragement notes to coaches and/or athletes (flexible times)

  • Prepare food/snacks for a huddle (you choose how often)

  • Join FCA staff in a part-time or full-time role (5-40 hours per week)

  • Lead worship for a huddle (as available)

Treasure

  • Become an automatic monthly partner by donating every month on an automatic credit card or bank withdrawal plan

  • Give a one-time donation to FCA

  • Become an event sponsor

  • Donate in-kind items for an event or weekly huddle (food, office supplies, etc)

  • Buy Bibles for a huddle/team

Meet Our Team

Jay Fowler

Jay is our multi-area director and also serves the campuses of Baylor, Bledsoe County, CSAS, East Hamilton, McCallie, Sale Creek, and Rhea County.

Julie Watson

Julie has served for 15 years on FCA staff and serves the campuses of Boyd Buchanan, Brainerd, Central, East Hamilton, GPS, Jasper, Marion County, Ooltewah, Richard Hardy, Sequatchie County, Signal Mountain, South Pittsburg, and Whitwell.

Laura O'Dell

Laura is our communications director leading our online presence and serves the campuses of CCA, East Ridge, Hixson, Loftis, Red Bank, Silverdale, Soddy Daisy High, and UTC.

Du'Vall Young

Du'Vall is our primary representative over our urban ministry serves the campuses of Boyd Buchanan, Brainerd, Chattanooga Prep, CSLA, Dalewood, East Lake, East Ridge, Howard, Lookout Valley, Normal Park, and Tyner

Jessica Box

Jessica is our newest field staff rep serving primarily cheer teams throughout the local area and state of Tennessee.  She also serves the campus of Grace.

Erin Brown

Erin serves as the administrative assistant in our office.  In addition to processing all financials, keeping everyone straight, and supporting our staff in administrative tasks, she is our prayer warrior!

Katie Hamby

Katie is our newest staff member and serves as a part time field ambassador at Soddy Daisy Middle while she is a full time student at Covenant College pursuing a degree in education and youth ministry.
