We are starting a new feature on our website that will give our teammates a weekly glance into the Chattanooga FCA ministry. Each week, you will be able to catch a "Follow Up Friday" post of ministry highlights from the week!
This week's Follow Up Friday:
Many of our huddles are having their last meetings of the semester over the next 1-3 weeks. This semester has flown by and it is hard to believe that the school year is already coming to an end! As we finish up the school year, we are starting to look ahead to FCA camps this summer.
Our 2014 FCA Camp theme is "ALL IN." With every sporting event, spectators can tell athletes who simply are on the team and put in little effort and those who are "ALL IN" giving 100% effort. In the same way, Jesus wants us to be "ALL IN" in our relationship with Him, yet so often, we don't give 100% of ourselves to Him. At FCA camps this summer, we will be talking about how you can have a relationship that is "ALL IN" with Jesus and will be focusing on Colossians 3:17 which says, "And whatever you do, in word or in deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him."
This week, our staff has been working hard on camps - recruiting students and coaches, going to planning meetings with other camp staff from across the state, designing camp merchandise, and processing registrations. We are extremely excited about all of our camps this year! If you are (or know of) a high school student, middle school student, or a coach, check out our camp information online at www.chattanoogafca.org!
How can you help?
Each year, we see many salvations and both kids and coaches growing deeper in their relationships with Christ. We couldn’t do these camps without the support of teammates like you who provide the funds for camp scholarships for those who may not be able to afford the full cost of camp. If you would like to help sponsor a team, athlete, or coach to camp, click the Donate tab on our website and choose the ministry you would like to support!
Also, please be in prayer for the camps this summer. Pray for our staff over the next few weeks that we will follow God's guidance as we recruit for camp and make plans for camp programs. Pray for the athletes and coaches who need to be at camp this summer that God would provide a way both in their schedules and financially for them to attend.
